Just a day after his testimonial match in Port Harcourt, ex-Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo was conferred with a chieftaincy title in Rivers State.

 

Yobo played for Team Nigeria and Team World in a match that ended 5-3 in favour of Nigeria on Friday, May 27 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt.

 

The next day, the former Everton defender bagged the title of The Mene Aborlo 1 and Waamene Aborlo 1 of Ogoni, Rivers State.

 

Yobo’s wife, Adaeze attended the ceremony along with her mother and other family members.

The 35-year-old was born in Kono, a community in the Khana area of Rivers State, Nigeria.
