According to report Ebere is currently in Nnewi where he is hold talks with the Ifeanyi Ubah about the move.

Heartland of Owerri goalkeeper, Ebere Obi, is set for a shock move to FC Ifeanyi Ubah just less than three months after the beaten by the proprietor and his aids.

In a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game between FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Heartland FC on Wednesday, March 23, a brawl ensured after Ebele Obi who is the elder brother of John Obi Mikel pushed down the referee.

It was alleged that business man, Ifeanyi Ubah who is the owner of Ifeanyi Ubah FC stepped into the pitch to punch the goalkeeper before he was beaten by his security aids.

 

For that act, Ifeanyi Ubah was suspended from all NPFL match venues for the next 10 matches and fined N2.5m Ebere was banned for six matches.

In a shock twist of events, Complete Sports reports that Ebere who joined Heartland in 2013 following a move from Enugu Rangers is on the verge of joining FC Ifeanyi Ubah during the mid-season transfer.

According to the report Ebere is currently in Nnewi where he is hold talks with the Ifeanyi Ubah about the move.

 

As we speak right now, I’m at Nnewi. FC Ifeanyiubah President, Dr Patrick Ubah, has invited me to come and join them,” the goalkeeper told Complete Sport.
